In 1995, RF Design Engineer Mike Lyons recognized a growing
need in the wireless community for improved prequalification processes on newly
implemented and recently modified communication sites. Establishing Aslan
Cellular Communications Testing (ACCT), Lyons created standards for quality
performance on cellular-sites based upon manufacturer's specifications,
and scientifically calculated criteria. The resulting process was immediately recognized
as "essential" by industry leaders such as Nextel, Cellular One, and
GTE Mobile.
As the technology evolved, Aslan was sought to provide
standards for quality to newly emerging companies creating nationwide
specifications for the likes of AT&T Wireless, Sprint PCS, and Cingular, while testing the
first PCS sites implemented in the United States.
Aslan grew to meet the demands of its clients, and developed
its own ISO compliant training program to maintain the highest quality of
service in the industry. Because of its dedication to accuracy, Aslan was often called on by test and measurement equipment manufacturers to provide
support to their clients, even going so far as to aid in the creation of
Telcordia's RF courses. Lyons would
later lend his training program (in part) to the creation of Agilent
Technologies' certification program, provided nationwide. Lyons would also play
a key role in the development of Agilent Technologies' N9912 RF Analyzer,
FieldFox.
Aslan now offers a diverse line of services and custom
designed programs to insure the highest level of site performance. Working hand
in hand with carriers, manufacturers, installers, and independent agencies,
Aslan Technologies, Inc. has maintained its position as the most desired
provider of quality solutions in the industry since its beginnings.
As our motto states: Excellence is our Standard.
